You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you'll discover will be wonderful. What you'll discover is yourself. ~Alan Alda
It's kind of hard to get lost these days, with GPS apps etc. But, I got lost last night. And, I loved it! I was driving through the battlefields of Gettysburg, heading to a man's house to pick up a Gettysburg Address Honeylocust sapling that is a gift for someone. Driving by monuments, winding through fields, and then woods, I finally found the log cabin in the woods and picked up this darling little sapling. Then, the fun part.
Over a rushing creek on a one-lane bridge, past old quaint farms tucked into the woods, through dense forests with deer jumping everywhere... then a clearing... and I was driving on a gravel path through acres and acres of apple orchards in the mountains. Couldn't have imagined a more beautiful scene before me.
Finally, and sadly, back to reality. I hit a road that was mapped on my iphone, and could head back. But, I almost wanted to turn it off and get lost some more. Biglersville, I will return.
On my way back, I stopped at a farm stand where they served hot cider while you shop, and stocked up on Honeycrisps, molasses cookies, Gettysburg Pretzels for Char and other veggies.
When was the last time you got lost? What was it like?
