24 hours in nature

Come forth into the light of things, let nature be your teacher.
-William Wordsworth

What happens when you spend 24 hours to looking closely at your surroundings?
You will find microsnails, slugs, rare wildflowers, blue-tailed skinks, eagles, hog-nosed snakes, mosses, turtles, bats.  You will hear whipoorwills calling in the trees, owls screeching, timberdoodles flapping slowly overhead, and katydids rehearsing for the summer season.
That's what we did in a Bioblitz, documenting every possible species of living creature we could find at a PA state park in 24 hours.
It was nice to take time to listen, watch, feel, and help.
