Recipe Roundup: Hunt & Gather

"In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.”
― Margaret Atwood

Spring is a time of new life... and new recipes! Celebrate the arrival of spring with this collection of recipes inspired by the great outdoors!

These recipes require you to kneel in the dirt, hover over streams, or rummage through the forest floor- but you will not be disappointed by the effort.  Hard work and time outside makes food taste even better!

A special thanks to Mom for this blog's roundup idea!  Happy foraging!

Head out to a nearby stream and catch your dinner.  Give this pan-fried honey trout recipe a try!

Bring a basket with you on a hike and be on the lookout for fiddleheads and ramps for this pasta.

If you're one of the lucky ones to discover a patch of morel mushrooms, you can use your treasure trove of these earthy goodies to create this comforting morel bisque.

Toast some crunchy bread, and cozy up during a good thunderstorm with a plate of spring roasted veggies out of the garden.

Pluck fresh herbs and herb flowers for this fresh celery salad.  Great for a light linch on-the-go.

Any ideas for my next roundup? Leave me a comment with ideas!
